My Soft Belly

Israel, 2007

Does every woman suffer in some level from eating disorders? Elian Lazovsky thinks the answer is yes. As a victim of bulimia, she knows many perfectly normal women who lead an obsessive relationship with their food. They do not vomit or gorge themselves, but each bite they take entails torments. How did the Israeli woman come to this state? Is it a yuppie complex or does the same situation exist in the periphery? Might the Jewish mother be at fault? And why is there no solution to all of this?
