Surrogate

Israel, 2008

Eli, a man in his thirties, turns to sexual therapy with a surrogate. Hagar, a sexual therapist, serves as a substitutional partner for the practice of intimacy. In the laboratory conditions they form a relationship including mutual physical and emotional exposure. Although Eli is aware of the treatment being an "artificial" and controlled process, he falls in love with Hagar and experiences a temporary supervised relationship with her. The treatment helps Eli deal with his fears from the real world. He tries to create a new, sincere dialogue with his family members, especially with his young nephew Yarden, confronting his utmost fear, the one related to his childhood.
