About Us

The 5th International Women's Film Festival, will open on the 15th of September in Rehovot. The festival will last for the first time a whole week, in which over 60 films will be screened, out of them 26 directed by Israeli filmmakers. The Festival will focus this year on the relation between women and food in films, reviewing fascinating aspects of the representation of women and their relation with food.

The festival will open on Monday, the 15th of September, in a festive opening ceremony in the Weitzman Institute in Rehovot. Screenings will commence the following day in the Chen cinemas in Rehovot. The festival will include this year various events, meetings with filmmakers from Israel and from abroad, and screenings of films in various locations around town.

The festival will conclude on Sunday, the 21st of September, with a conference discussing eating disorders that will take place in the Weitzman Institute, a collaboration with the Authority for the Advancement of the status of women in the Prime Minister's office.
